Poultry Flooring

Poultry flooring refers to the method of raising chicks on a mesh surface that is kept at a certain height from the ground. Poultry flooring can be divided into high-bed mesh culture (the mesh surface is 1 to 1.5 meters away from the ground) and low-bed mesh culture (the mesh surface is 0.5 meters away from the ground). About meters), the laid mesh can be plastic mesh (mesh is 1.25 cm x 1.25 cm), bamboo mesh, wooden mesh, strip mesh, etc.

There are troughs, drinking fountains, heaters, etc. on the poultry flooring. Feed troughs and drinkers should be sufficient in number, reasonable in structure, and moderate in degree and size. Generally, the height of the trough is required to be equal to or slightly lower than the height of the chicken, that is, when 0 to 3 weeks old, the height of the trough should be about 4 cm. ~8 weeks of age about 6 cm, each chick within 3 weeks of age should occupy about 4 cm long feed trough length, when 3 ~ 8 weeks old, each should occupy about 6 cm long feed trough is appropriate; low pan For a drinking fountain with a diameter of 18 cm, the dosage ratio is: when 0 to 6 weeks old, each drinking fountain can be used for 20 to 25 chickens, and when 7 to 20 weeks old, it can be used by 15 to 20 chickens.
When the water tank is used as a drinking utensil, at 0 to 20 weeks of age, the water tank occupied by each chicken is 2.5 to 3 cm long. When the pool floor area is large, it should be separated into several circles with an area of about 25 square meters with a partition net.

The so-called poultry flooring means to set up a mesh frame at a height of 60-70 cm above the ground (metal, bamboo and other materials can be used to set up the frame), and then lay nets and grids made of metal, plastic or bamboo and wood on the frame. Live on nets and grids, chicken manure falls to the ground through the gaps of the mesh or grid bars, accumulates for a breeding period, and is removed once after the chickens are released from the slaughter. The size of the mesh or grid slit is appropriate so that chicken paws cannot enter and chicken manure can fall. The mesh bed can be made of metal or plastic mesh. The shapes of the meshes are circle, triangle, hexagon, rhombus, etc. The size of the mesh bed can be flexibly controlled according to the area of the chicken house, but there should be enough aisles for easy operation. There are fences with a height of about 50 cm on the outside of the grid, and the spacing between the fences is 5 cm. Set up sinks and food troughs on the inside of the fence. The area of the chicken house and the net should be determined according to the amount of feeding. If raising 1000 broilers, the brooding room needs 8 m2, and the medium house needs 240 m2. Poultry flooring is generally operated by hand, and can be equipped with mechanical equipment such as automatic water supply, feeding, and manure removal if conditions permit.
